Our award-winning restaurant offers an innovative and inspiring ‘Farm to Plate’ experience where guests can enjoy the very freshest ingredients harvested from our own kitchen gardens.
Respecting our Florentine Location our seasonal menus are designed to reflect the region's unique gastronomic heritage and vibrant culinary culture. Artisan butchers supply the kitchen with exceptional cuts of locally-reared meats whilst the very freshest fish are delivered daily from the Mediterranean.
This season our unique menus reflect the beauty of the Tuscan country harvest and include homemade Cappelletti pasta with pigeon, butter and thyme and our very popular Amberjack fish served in three ways (tartar, belly, fillet) with baby onions, asparagus and caramelised onions.

The restaurant was created by Interior designer, Jeanette Thottrup, who has seamlessly combined the very finest elements of both classic and contemporary styles. When you step inside from the bustling city streets you are instantly met with feeling of tranquillity and a sense of refined harmony. A refreshing oasis in which to enjoy exceptional food and fine wine our award winning gourmet restaurant is just a short journey from the very centre of Florence.

Antonello Sardi, Head Chef
Creative Head Chef Antonello Sardi originally started his career as a humble kitchen assistant, but his culinary skills and creative ideas were very quickly noticed by both customers and colleagues alike.
Antonello is an imaginative chef and has worked with some of the region's most respected names in the industry including Enrico Bartolini at Cavenago di Brianza. During his time with Enrico, Antonello focused his skills on working with fresh and natural ingredients sourced from local farms, vegetable growers and butchers.
On returning to Florence, Antonello joined the staff of La Bottega del Buon Caffè, creating beautifully executed seasonal dishes.
As the Head Chef, Antonello is responsible for the restaurant's exceptional dishes that combine the freshest Tuscan ingredients with his unmistakable culinary creativity.

La Bottega del Buon Caffè boasts an an exceptional wine list which has been created by our respected Sommeliers.
We have successfully developed a unique collection of remarkable labels for the restaurant which includes some of the finest regional varieties such as wines from the Chianti hills, Brunellos from Montalcino and award-winning wines from the Bolgheri estate. With a strong emphasis on local and organic varieties, our wine list also features some rare vintages.

To reflect the philosophy of five star dining at its very best, La Bottega del Buon Caffè produces a large percentage of its fresh ingredients at its farm in the country. The kitchen gardens provide enough fruit and vegetables to supply the restaurant kitchens with fresh inspiration daily and still have enough left over to make Borgo ‘marmellate’ jams, jellies, preserves and sauces.
The herb garden also provides numerous flavours and perfumes for use in the kitchen. Furthermore, Buon Caffè produces its very own delicious Tuscan honey. Our gardens are unique and our seasonal menus are created around available produce and what is fresh, flavoursome and bountiful.
